Definition

According to Dr. Gregorio Marañón “The doctor thinks he knows of Medicine, Medical or know.” Traditional Chinese medicine is not a medicine because it emerges as such. The material is the human being and it is important to know all the activities that the place because we know that they can lead to situations of imbalance.

It is currently treated with acupuncture around 2 billion people around the globe. It is an art or a drug-free recovery. So today is unquestionable because casuistry is handled. It is the oldest and complex world.

Both Allopathic Medicine (Academic Medicine) and complementary medicine are treated with contempt and do not realize they have the same objective and we must work together to recover the full capacity of human beings, because in principle dysfunction, pain and suffering not allow us to develop this basic need and deeper than the joy of being human. There are many concepts in Western medicine are wrong, so iatrogenesis occurs, according to WHO about 40% of the world’s diseases are caused by doctors. Besides those involved in healing have to consider how they will do it because acupuncture is not harmless and can be done too much damage. There is a lack of correlation between what the patient receives on each sale of acupuncture, massage, moxibustion.

Throughout history it has been said, written and heard about the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its application, including its comparison to the effectiveness of western medicine. While it is true that TCM is useful, it is important to mention that just as Western medicine each have their place according to the condition and the patient in question.

Among the contributions of TCM, one of the most important is undoubtedly the acupuncture. Which, despite being a very old science, was not introduced to the West until the seventeenth century by French Jesuits. Due to cultural differences and understanding, the principle of acupuncture was not well accepted in the West and despite such skepticism was a degree of fascination with this. It is believed that the practice of acupuncture dates back about 5000 years ago.

It has been a basic Chinese method to treat diseases. Its name derives from the Latin words “accused” which means needle and “pung” meaning penetrate. That is, the penetration of the human body with fine needles through the skin to the strategic stimulation of specific points or also by a technique known as moxibustion (heat generated by burning the plant Artemisia vulgaris close to the skin over acupuncture points ) preventive and therapeutic purposes.
