The caraway is a medicinal plant that has root fusiform, glabrous surface and oblong leaves. The binomial name that corresponds to this species is Carum carvi. This plant, which belongs to the Umbelliferae family, on the other hand, gives white flowers and has cylindrical fruits that grow on an annual basis at fixed times. The chemical composition of the caraway can find considerable percentages of essential oils (such as limonene, carveol, carvone, dhidrocarvona, proteins, resins, tannins and fatty acids.
