Acupressure -part 2-

acupressureThere are 12 major meridians for the 12 principal organs classified by Chinese medicine. When chi energy does not flow properly, it is considered that an imbalance of the organs and the disease appears in the body.

There are many pressure points that are easy to reach for the treatment of common diseases:

For headaches, colds and sinusitis, you must locate the site that lies between the thumb and forefinger and apply pressure for two minutes. Also, you can press both sides of the temples with the index finger of one hand and the thumb of the other.To calm nerves and stimulate digestion, you must press the point located four thumbs above the navel in the center of the abdomen. There must be a gentle pressure, like caresses, for several minutes.

To stimulate the immune system, locate the back of the forearm two thumb widths above the wrist. You must use a technique of dispersion or circular pressure with your thumb or finger for two minutes on each arm.

To relieve tension headaches, seek the base of the skull in the back of the head, just behind the bones in the back of the ears. There must be a circular pressure with your thumb on this point for two minutes. There is also the “yintang” point, which is at the center of the forehead between the eyebrows. Should be pressed gently for two minutes to clear the mind and to relieve headaches.

To alleviate back pain, you should massage the points on the back of the knee.

To help alleviate the pain of sciatica, you must press the points of the buttocks and hips.

Press the point on the back of the wrist (pericardium 6), relieves nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

To relieve menstrual cramps, you should massage the inside of the leg, about four inches above the ankle

Then there is a level where the acupressure points on the soles of the feet and related areas of the body.

Recommendations

Although acupressure is a fairly safe, not recommended when there is open wounds, swelling and inflammation. Again, areas of skin with blisters, rashes, or varicose veins. It should not be applied in the case of pregnant women. If you suspect a malignancy or severe, it is necessary to see a doctor.
